Nike
The brief for Nike’s Air Max Con in New York on Air Max Day 2016 was to design an immersive retail experience that celebrated the legacy of Air Max while showcasing new releases and special editions from Tinker Hatfield, Mark Parker, and Hiroshi Fujiwara. I provided retail design direction, renderings, and environmental graphics, along with art direction and presentation support, creating a space that captured the essence of Nike’s innovation and the Air Max culture.
AIR MAX CON
Nike Vapormax
For the release of Nike's Vapormax shoe, we created Nike's first ever "Sneakeasy" and took over a private event space in New York to help generate content and promote hype on launch day.
On the outside of the experience we kept it subtle and understaded so as to not drive attention to the event prior to launch day. Upon entry, guests are immersed in a dark black space where past and present product is displayed in air-tank-time-capusles suspended from the ceiling and mounted in the walls. Moving further through the space, visitors enter an immersive shoe/event room for the Vaportmax reveal. A 30' LED wall, a floor made of air-tanks and an enter-the-dragon-esque infinity mirror presentation make for a visually arresting experience.
